Struggles and Obstacles

I had no friends to keep me motivated to maintain going to the gym on a daily basis. It also takes me a bit to get to my nearest gym, and the weather here isn't always nice. I love eating food, so it was difficult for me to limit my intake. I also am incredibly shy in the gym. When I first went I spent about 40 minutes in the changing room, but when I went out I worked out in the corner because I was scared of everyone since everyone else was fit and I was fat. I tried to avoid people as much as I could and made my presence not noticeable.

The obstacles I faced included barely being able to purchase transport passes and falling behind on my gym membership. Also, the amount of school and work made it impossible for me to commute every day. I also needed gym equipment and products such as protein powder and pre-workout supplements to help me maximize my gains. Whenever I'm asked whether I'm using the machine, I quickly pass it over and move on due to being scared of people. I found it hard to go to the gym because of all the obstacles that stopped me from becoming a better version of myself.

Overcoming obstacles and struggles was quite challenging especially starting out, I had even read about how someone felt sub-conscious in the gym like me, but as soon as things started progressing it all set into place and it all seemed so much easier once I got into the habit of doing it daily. I started eating better, going to the gym, putting myself out there and soon enough it was natural. Once I had gotten the support from my friends everything didn't seem that hard because I felt more motivated from already improving something even if it was small.
